Corsair Accelerates in 2026 with Major Oil Deal and Business Opportunity
Corsair Group continues to lead the plastic recycling and circular economy revolution in 2026.
In its recent global update, the company announced groundbreaking operational progress, a major new pyrolysis oil partnership, and exciting innovations designed to accelerate plastic neutrality worldwide while creating real business opportunities for its community.
Here is an overview of the global call:
Global Expansion Updates
This expansion demonstrates Corsair's relentless focus on scaling plastic recycling operations while maintaining world-class quality standards.

Thailand Production Expansion in Full Swing:
Corsair operates three interconnected sites in Bangkok (Corsair Bangkok Company Limited, Bangkok Two, and Bangkok Three), which together form a major chemical recycling hub using pyrolysis to convert mixed plastic waste into high-quality pyrolysis oil, a circular feedstock for new plastics (primarily for the petrochemical industry, not fuel).
Bangkok One:
Now has 4 operational reactors (3 new ones recently installed and in test runs; 2 older units decommissioned, 1 retained).
Infrastructure improvements completed (drainage, floor elevation to combat flooding from surrounding landfill rise).
Central area prepared for 5 additional reactors.
Expected to reach 10 million liters of pyrolysis oil per year in early 2027.
Basic location : 10 reactors total Recycling ~12 million kg plastic waste/year Producing ~10 million liters oil/year)
Bangkok Two:
Currently has 5 pyrolysis units (mix of acquired and new 2025 installations).
Ongoing upgrades to raw material preparation, washing/drying station, and site infrastructure.
Targeted to reach 10 reactors by mid-2027.
Bangkok Three (newest expansion):
Built on consolidated adjacent land with better upfront elevation and foundation work for long-term reliability.
Retaining walls and groundwork completed.
Planned as a more unified, efficient build-out (including raw material sorting/separation facility).
Expected to reach 10 reactors by mid-2028.
Operational & Quality Highlights
ISCC certification maintained for 4 years (one of the first in Asia).
Pyrolysis oil is regarded by major petrochemical companies as among the highest quality globally.
Strong focus on building a new generation of local engineers and operational talent.
Parallel improvements even while scaling (safety, environmental, civil works). Overall Bangkok Capacity (1-2-3 combined):
Full build-out targeted for mid-2028.
Recycling > 36 million kg of plastic waste annually.
Produce ~ 30 million liters of pyrolysis oil per year.
Additional assets include ~32,000 m² of controlled land and the Corsair Learning Center (future educational hub for visitors, schools, and stakeholders on plastic recycling).

Finland • Kaipola Chemical Recycling Facility Progress Summary Since Launch
The Kaipola site is Corsair’s flagship entry into Europe, focused on plastic pyrolysis to produce high-quality pyrolysis oil as circular feedstock for new plastic production (petrochemical end-use, not fuel). Key Timeline & Milestones:
May 2023: First machine arrives Site preparation & construction
Oct 2023: Installation starts
Jan 2024: First successful test runs despite extreme winter conditions.
Summer 2024: Agreement signed for three new Pyrolysis reactors
Feb–May 2025: New machines arrive and reactors installed (shipping delayed and costs increased due to Middle East tensions, vessels rerouted around Africa; flat-rack transport required for reactors)
2025: Major on-site work completed, including:
Relocation of installation area (extra construction: closing floor openings, removing old paper-mill equipment).
Extensive electrical upgrades (several km of new cabling)
Installation of Honeywell process control system for advanced automation and monitoring
Pipelines, structural modifications, and full integration with Corsair’s own process control.
Testing conducted in freezing conditions (frozen pipes and leaks occurred but caused no major damage)
Technical & Compliance Achievements:
Extensive modifications and upgrades to meet Finland’s very strict emissions, wastewater, safety, and environmental standards Multiple rounds of authority testing successfully passed
Developed deep in-house expertise in plastic-to-petrochemical pyrolysis (distinct from lower-spec tyre-recycling applications)
Standardized improvements across all machines for efficiency.
ISCC PLUS certification obtained (highly demanding and essential for commercial offtakers).
REACH documentation finalized for full EU chemical compliance
Environmental permit application well advanced (process slowed by recent merger of Finnish authorities into the new Finnish Supervisory Agency as of 1 Jan 2026)
First commercial deliveries of pyrolysis oil from the Kaipola facility to Shell in the Netherlands are scheduled for Q2 2026.
Sri Lanka:
Construction at the new facility, in partnership with LOLC, begins in April 2026, marking another major step in Asian expansion.
These developments underscore Corsair's rapid growth in plastic waste recycling across multiple continents.
Corsair Accelerates in 2026 with Major Oil Deal and Business Opportunity
Turning Global Energy Challenges into Strategic Advantage
Amid ongoing oil supply disruptions in the Middle East, Corsair is uniquely positioned for success. While the crisis has caused shortages in fuel and petrochemical raw materials affecting plastic packaging manufacturers worldwide, Corsair's ability to convert plastic waste into pyrolysis oil makes it strategically important.
The company's circular model supports both emergency fuel needs and the production of more sustainable packaging. As regulations around Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) tighten globally, demand for Corsair's CSR plastic credits and plastic neutrality solutions is expected to rise even further.
Leadership noted that the crisis may also redirect international investments toward Southeast Asia, creating additional growth opportunities for the company.
Future-Focused Innovation: Humanoid Robots
Corsair is preparing a pilot project in Thailand to integrate humanoid robots into waste management operations. The goal is to handle dangerous or repetitive tasks, improving safety and efficiency so human teams can focus on higher-value work in the fight against plastic pollution.
Landmark Pyrolysis Oil Partnership with a Global Petrochemical Giant
Corsair has signed a significant multi-year offtake agreement with one of the world's largest oil, gas, and petrochemical companies. This strategic partnership matches the scale and importance of its successful 2024 collaboration with Shell.
Starting in July 2026, Corsair will begin delivering high-quality pyrolysis oil produced from plastic waste at its Thailand facility to the partner's Asian operations. A joint press release with the partner's name is expected later this year.
This deal solidifies Corsair's position as a trusted supplier in the chemical recycling industry and highlights the growing demand for sustainable feedstock in the global petrochemical sector.
